What goes on in the Doctors’ Lounge?
What secrets?
What attitudes?
After sixty years practicing medicine, Dr. Jacob Weizman suffers a crisis of confidence and withdraws to the Drs’ Lounge.
The administration talks him into the presidency of the medical staff, and Jacob must now deal with a multitude of issues—a young woman physician being stalked, an alcoholic risking patients’ lives, and a conflict between a nurse and a doctor about the treatment of a Lou Gehrig’s case that ends with a murder accusation.
Jacob has always been a doctor with integrity, and he is intent on putting patients’ health before the hospital’s economic interests. The administration isn’t happy about it, and they soon regret giving Jacob the presidency.
Can Jacob handle the demands of Brier Hospital—and protect the patients depending on him?
